The Treasurer's Office is responsible for collection of all taxes and local fees, which include (but are not limited to) real estate taxes, personal property taxes, utility taxes, permit fees, state income and estimated taxes, court, sheriff, and clerk fees, dog tags, and vehicle license fees. The office is responsible for every form of revenue payable to the county and management of investments of all local funds. It is also responsible for maintaining records of all county finances and providing any possible service as requested by citizens of the county.
Personal Property and Real Estate Taxes, and Vehicle License Fees are due December 5th of each year. Dog tags are due January 31st. These dates are subject to change depending on which day of the week they occur in a particular year. These dates are published on individual tax bills issued in the fall.
