Education

The residents of Brunswick are served by two school systems and a community college.

The Brunswick County Public School system is compromised of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Each of the three elementary schools include grades Pre-K through 5. A Head Start program is also available at each elementary school. The middle school includes grades 6-8 and the high school includes grades 9-12. Brunswick Academy offers residents the choice of attending a private institution for grades Pre-K through 12. The school is located just outside of the Town of Lawrenceville. More information can be found on their website. 

The County is also fortunate to be home to Southside Virginia Community College. SVCC is one of the 23 schools in the Virginia Community College System and is located in Cochran, VA. Residents have been known to refer to SVCC as the local UCLA – University of Cochran between Lawrenceville and Alberta. Visit their website to find out more information.
